Chili Fundraiser (November)


Each fall, the library holds its annual Chili fundraiser (usually the second Saturday in November) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and a raffle for a goodie basket full of great items. This page will be updated in advance of the next fundraiser. The last fundraiser was held on November 12, 2022.

Dine in, drive up or carry out. The cost is $7.00 for a 12 oz. container of homemade chili (spicy, mild, or meatless), a cornbread muffin, a 16 oz. bottle of water, and two chocolate chip cookies. Pre-orders (optional) are accepted by phone by calling Anne at 314-5930, the library at 993-6088 or by replying to this email. Please include name, type and number of meals and time of pick up. Additional 12 oz. servings of chili may be purchased for $5.00 each.


Tickets for the “Fun at Grandma and Grandpa's” raffle basket are $1 per ticket or 6 for $5. The basket contains a gingerbread house kit, coloring and other craft supplies, food, a book of short stories for kids, gift certificates for Lori's Cafe and John's Ice Cream, and more! Come help make this library fundraiser a great success!

Wednesday 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Thursday 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Patrons of Palermo Community Library may become patrons of Bangor Public Library to have access to Flipster, download e-books and all other services of being a BPL patron. Please visit PCL to complete an application and receive a barcode number to become a patron of BPL. Please bring one form of I.D.
